Vickie
Owner/Stylist
Vickie opened Salon Gloss in February of 2006, and has been enjoying the salon’s huge success ever since. Salon Gloss boasts nine stylists, an esthetician and a receptionist. As an accomplished stylist with a background in teaching with a well known salon chain, Vickie uses her in depth knowledge and technical abilities to create beautiful high and low lights using the naturalizing techique. Vickie enjoys all her salon roles and it shows in all of her work whether she is working on a client or busy managing the business.
Maureen "Mo"
Stylist
Maureen is a great choice if you are looking for a perm expert - she does amazing curls! She is also an expert in the traditional men’s haircut and is very comfortable with her scissor over comb technique. Maureen is having a blast reliving the era of the up-do. She can transition any up-do into something much more playful. Recently her 12 inch Beehive for a Hairspray contest won the contestant first place. Maureen has a great sense of humor and is always fun to be around.
Nicole
Stylist
Nicole loves all aspects of hairdressing but her true talent lies in her ability to create beautiful blonde highlights. Not to rule out all of her other hairdressing abilities, but she has truly perfected her beige-y blondes. Nicole’s other perfection is her ability to create amazing up-dos. Any up-do she does will surely make any client stand out in a crowd. In Nicole’s spare time she enjoys entering hair competitions. As a contender in the Fudge product line competition a few years ago, she placed a high second!
Diana
Stylist
Diana is Salon Gloss's newest member, but she brings 28 years of hairdressing experience and salon ownership along with her. She is extremely comfortable in all areas of the hair industry, but when asked what she enjoys the most about hairdressing and her new position, she answered, "I just love being able to socialize with my clients!" Diana is especially fond of creating fun and sassy short cuts, much like her own.
Selina
Stylist
Selina specializes in long hair cutting and blow-drying. On the other end of the spectrum, she specializes in men‘s clipper cuts. Over the years she has taken many advance cutting and colouring classes including studying with L'Oreal Canada. She applies her advance knowledge of colouring to all of her highlighting and low-lighting with her clientelle. On the fun side, Selina loves when she gets the opportunity to create a contemporary and racey new look for a client.
Mandy
Stylist
Mandy has extensive experience as a stylist and has trained with many top educators in the hairdressing field. She is now an educator herself. Mandy prides herself on her ability to do all aspects of hairdressing well, but is especially fond of colouring and highlighting. She is extremely organized and is a great asset to the inner workings of Salon Gloss. If you don’t see her working behind her chair, you will see her busy working around the salon to make sure everything is ordered and running smoothly.
Lilly
Esthetician
Lilly immigrated to Canada from Mexico just over 11 years ago. She brings eighteen years of experience & expertise in the field of esthetics to Salon Gloss. She loves what she does and often works extremely long hours in order to fit everyone in. Lilly is comfortable in a wide range of areas in esthetics, including Brazilian waxing, and has proven to give one of the best pedicures around. Booking ahead with Lilly is highly recommended.
Kelly
Stylist
Originally living and working in Vancouver, Kelly brought her expertise in hairdressing to the Tri-City area just over 10 years ago. She loves all aspects of hairdressing, but specializes in updos and colour corrections. Kelly has trained and attended many courses, seminars, and classes in advanced hair cutting, highlighting and colouring, including Suki's, Focus 2, and Toni & Guy. To round out her repertoire in the hairdressing industry, Kelly adds her Technical Sales & Marketing education & experience, as well as her passion for teaching.
Magaret (Maggie)
Stylist
Orginally from Scotland, Maggie brings her 46 years of hairdressing expertise to Salon Gloss. She has been in the industry so long that her clientelle now includes third generations - how fun is that? Maggie is exceptionally talented in cutting hair, especially men’s cuts and she loves doing perms! She brings lots of energy to the salon as she is fun, vivacous and charismatic.
Jodi
Stylist
Salon Gloss welcomes Jodi with her 16 years of hairdressing experience. Her speciallties include beautiful haircuts and styles for the whole family. She is an expert in all techinical areas of the salon business which include colouring and highlighting. Jodi is bubbly and a joy to be around. Salon Gloss is thrilled to have her join our team! She looks forward to seeing all of her clients at her new location.
