Owner/Stylist
Vickie opened Salon Gloss in February of 2006, and has been enjoying the salon’s huge success ever since. Salon Gloss boasts nine stylists, an esthetician and a receptionist. As an accomplished stylist with a background in teaching with a well known salon chain, Vickie uses her in depth knowledge and technical abilities to create beautiful high and low lights using the naturalizing techique. Vickie enjoys all her salon roles and it shows in all of her work whether she is working on a client or busy managing the business.
Selina
Stylist
Selina specializes in long hair cutting and blow-drying. On the other end of the spectrum, she specializes in men‘s clipper cuts. Over the years she has taken many advance cutting and colouring classes including studying with L'Oreal Canada. She applies her advance knowledge of colouring to all of her highlighting and low-lighting with her clientelle. On the fun side, Selina loves when she gets the opportunity to create a contemporary and racey new look for a client.
Mandy
Stylist
Mandy has extensive experience as a stylist and has trained with many top educators in the hairdressing field. She is now an educator herself. Mandy prides herself on her ability to do all aspects of hairdressing well, but is especially fond of colouring and highlighting. She is extremely organized and is a great asset to the inner workings of Salon Gloss. If you don’t see her working behind her chair, you will see her busy working around the salon to make sure everything is ordered and running smoothly.
Tammy
Stylist
With many years of experience, Tammy has trained with many top artists and taken advanced training in both cutting and coloring. She is proud of her large male clientelle - she offers a fabulous precision cut! Tammy books up quickly, so we suggest that you book your next appointment when you're leaving the salon.
Lilly
Esthetician
Lilly immigrated to Canada from Mexico just over 11 years ago. She brings eighteen years of experience & expertise in the field of esthetics to Salon Gloss. She loves what she does and often works extremely long hours in order to fit everyone in. Lilly is comfortable in a wide range of areas in esthetics, including Brazilian waxing, and has proven to give one of the best pedicures around. Booking ahead with Lilly is highly recommended.
Jodi
Stylist
Salon Gloss welcomes Jodi with her 16 years of hairdressing experience. Her specialties include beautiful haircuts and styles for the whole family. She is an expert in all technical areas of the salon business which include colouring and highlighting. Jodi also loves to perm hair.
Jemma
Stylist
Jemma has been a stylist for 9 years. She jump started her career by apprenticing and training extensively with Tony and Guy in London, England for two years. Jemma excels at a number of things including edgy new colors, cuts and updos; however, she loves creating shiny healthy blondes. Jemma always customizes her client's hair, making it unique to suite the individual's style!
Magaret (Maggie)
Stylist
Orginally from Scotland, Maggie brings her 46 years of hairdressing expertise to Salon Gloss. She has been in the industry so long that her clientelle now includes third generations - how fun is that? Maggie is exceptionally talented in cutting hair, especially men’s cuts and she loves doing perms! She brings lots of energy to the salon as she is fun, vivacous and charismatic.
Fabio
Stylist
Salon Gloss welcomes Fabio and his 17 years of expertise to the team! Fabio decided to become a hair stylist for his love of fashion and making people feel beautiful! Not only has Fabio worked within the Vancouver area for years but he has also taken his career abroad working in Bahrain and most recently Berlin. Fabio is always looking to advance his skills and has attended courses with Tony & Guy as well as Goldwell. If a color change is in need or you want a massive blow out, he is your guy. Fabio excels with color, enjoying all aspects of it and he will also give you a rockin' blow out!
Janna
Stylist
Janna brings 22 years of experience to Salon Gloss and has been serving a huge clientele base within the Port Moody and Coquitlam area for nearly 12 years. Janna has been a teacher and now enjoys upgrading with Goldwell advance courses to keep her fashion and hair styles up to date. Janna enjoys cutting and styling women's hair and is fantastic with half up, half down up-dos!
Melanie
Stylist
Melanie is the stylist for you if you're looking for a new edgy cut and style or a fabulous bold contrast of colors. She is extremely creative and loves to offer unique styles to her clientele. Melanie is always advancing her techniques by taking upgrading courses - making her deliver perfect technical cuts and colors. She is also fantastic with long hair and up-dos!
Brittany
Stylist, Cosmetologist, Receptionist
Brittany is a dually trained jack of all trades! A Cosmetologist specializing in Bridal as well as Beauty Make Ups. Her clients have even taken her as far as Florida to take advantage of her amazing talent. She offers artificial lashes and airbrushed foundation. Brittany is also a fabulous hair stylist. Her specialties include beautiful color work and she has an extensive knowledge in the beautiful hair products which we sell. Brittany is constantly upgrading courses to expand her knowledge in both hair, skin care and make up. Brittany's smile is often the first you will see when you come into the salon as he also works as reception.
Kandis
Receptionist,
Salon Apprentice
Kandis is our fabulous receptionist/salon apprentice. Just out of school, she is eager to immerse herself within the industry - making her a great asset to the salon. You will often see her running errands throughout the salon, managing the front desk as well as watching over stylists and assisting them with clients. If there is anything you need in regards to our product, she will surely assist you in getting the correct products for your hair type!
Celia
Stylist
Celia brings 13 years of experience as a hairstylist to Salon Gloss. She began as an apprentice at Statik Salon in Downtown Vancouver, and since then she has brought her talents to the Tri-Cities area. She has been lucky enough to have had training, technical cutting and coloring classes with some of the world's top stylists including Nick Arrojo of what not to wear. She specializes in bonded extensions, creating big volume, lots of texture and loves working with curly hair.
